As Director of Contracts at Vibrent Health, you will be responsible for all phases of the contract life cycle to serve vendors, partners, and customers for our enterprise software, data rights and technology enabled services. You will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of complex contracts and subcontracts with commercial organizations, and you will review and approve all contractual documents for the protection of the company's contractual posture, the satisfaction of customer specifications, and adherence to company policy. In this role you can expect to build strategic relationships, negotiate contracts, develop, and execute strategy and tactics.

This role requires an individual who is independent and results-oriented, with the ability to communicate timely, directly & effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple, diverse tasks despite shifting deadlines and competing priorities.
This is a hybrid role on our "remote first" team. You will be equipped to work
remote but may be expected to periodically attend meetings in our Fairfax Virginia office on an as needed basis. #LI-Hybrid How you will contribute:
  • Lead all activities related to contract and subcontract administration to include creating, negotiating, reviewing, and tracking pre- and post-contract documents.
  • Establish and preserve strong relationships with internal and external partners, customers, vendors, and consultants.
  • Guide all phases of the enterprise software, data rights and technology enabled services contract life cycle to include NDAs, proposal, negotiation, contract execution, & close-outs.
  • Participate in strategy meetings with senior management.
  • Conduct negotiation of deal terms with various external entities keeping focus on win-win scenarios.
  • Provide creative contracting solutions to achieve long-term business goals.
  • Manage contracts/subcontracts with multiple contract structures such as Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Time and Material (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP), among others.
  • Assist in the preparation, transmission, and monitoring of correspondence relating to contractual obligations and ensure completion and maintenance of contract files and responding timely to all contractual reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and disseminate information regarding contract status including reviewing contractual obligations, identifying risks and problems and proposing solutions, and reporting to project teams, accounting staff, and management.
  • Implement processes and procedures to effectively manage contract services.
  • Monitor and/or deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual contract data submissions.
  • Drive metrics and KPIs for the function to ensure SMART goals, as applicable for this role.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or law plus 10-15 years’ experience in commercial and government contracting and/or as an in-house counsel in a law firm
  • Significant experience in software and technology-based contracts
  • Deep experience in a variety of contract environments: FFP, T&M; Sole Source, etc.
  • Significant experience in the areas of complex contract drafting, interpretation, negotiation, and compliance with various regulations, proposal preparation, and policy development
  • Leadership experience in commercial contracts, procurement, and/or program management.
  • Preferred: Certifications related to contract management and/or pricing
